An 8 is a metaphor for the process of saying goodbye, accepting loss and the difficulty of “letting go” from a child's point of view. Between now and memory, creation and memory, the child travels with his grandmother towards infinity, an eight that rests. An immersive experience inside an inflatable tent that transforms loss into poetry, distance into contact and goodbye into an emotional journey that speaks of life, love and shared memories. An 8 is a story written by an adult to explain to a five-year-old child what it is like to leave the world. Without any certainty. Without any belief system. We believe in the present moment, alive and vibrant. We believe in the present moment that remembers. We believe that remembering is a creative act. To create, to remember, in the here and now, is what makes us live. It brings to life, now, those who are no longer here.
The show takes place in a 60 m² inflatable tent and also has an adaptation for indoor venues.
