Un 8 is based on a short story written by Clàudia Vilà. An emotional and poetic journey. An apparently simple story that connects with universal themes such as loss, memory, intergenerational relationships and friendship, always approached from a humanistic perspective, raising questions without offering definitive answers. It is a metaphor for the process of letting go and the acceptance of loss from a child’s point of view. It tells the story of a five-and-a-half-year-old boy who travels into space with his grandmother. They are both at very different moments in their lives, at two extremes that almost touch.

Un 8 is a sensory performance that invites the audience to embark on a journey alongside the characters of the story. The piece unfolds in an immersive format in which light, sound, movement, and the manipulation of objects and puppets are the main expressive elements. Spoken word is not used live in the performance. The offstage voice of the five-and-a-half-year-old boy guides and accompanies the narrative. This allows the show to be presented in multiple languages. The inflatable tent, measuring 60 m², becomes a space where reality and imagination merge, enhancing the emotional impact of the piece.
